Use a discreet, bolted console vault or under-seat lockbox that you can access while still seated. Never rely on the factory glove box or center console.
Pair it with a simple “unload and verify” ritual every time you step inside the house: clear the firearm, confirm it’s empty, and place it straight into the safe. No “just for a minute” exceptions.
Responsible carry doesn’t end the moment you walk through your front door and take the holster off. The responsibility continues the second you step inside. Storage is not an afterthought, it’s the final link in the chain of responsible ownership.
True responsible carry is a full-time commitment. It means:
